I am happy to write that after being pregnant for approximately 40 weeks and 6 days, off work for 6 days, and growing thin on patience..... I am getting induced. While maybe not my first choice (which was for her to be born at 38 or 39 weeks,) I am more than happy with this. After completing a non-stress test and A.F.I. test, it was determined that she's completely healthy and ready to enter the world. So on Thursday morning, we call Labor and Delivery, and hope they have a bed ready for me.
Once at the hospital, they will have to "ripen my cervix," which may take anywhere from 6 to 48 hours. After that, I'll get started on Pitocin to kick off labor and contractions. The doctor expects her to be born on Friday or Saturday.
So that's the update for now. We're anxious and excited. My next post will be filled with baby pictures and stories about being exhausted.

heehee, funny picture!! Good Luck...have fun...and rest while you can!! My first was TEN days past my due date and my Dr WOULD NOT induce!! He just kept saying, "oh she'll come when she is ready." UGH!! I just wanted to grab him up and SHAKE him until he agreed to whatever I wanted...which was to GET HER OUT...NOW!!!! HA!! Can't wait to see all of the cuteness!!
