Are we done yet?

I'm counting the days until I hit 36 weeks (on Wednesday.) While I haven't updated this in awhile I would say one of the biggest changes to happen is that she's "dropped." My lovely little girl now lingers uncomfortably close to my bladder which I blame for my frequent trips to the restroom and my waddle-like walk. Oh, and did I mention her movements aren't "pleasant" little "tickles?" Here's a picture Jay captured a few minutes ago of me while Audrey was repositioning herself (not a kick, a full on roll-over or whatever she does in there.)

Now here's the picture taken a few moments after.

This past week I washed most of her clothes, and started putting things away in her drawers. I still have some laundry left to do and things I want to hang on the walls. Jay's mom has offered to come over to help so I'm sure I'll be taking her up on that soon.

The dogs have no clue what "little sister" means, in a short matter of weeks they will. Jay and I are both committed to still giving them attention and working with them on commands. (Yes, we should've done that before I got pregnant, but oh well.)

Jay is excited and anxious about being a dad, but I know he'll be great. He's a night owl so I'm hoping he'll take the majority or at least half of the "late night" shifts so I can get some good sleep in. Of course when he goes back to work and I'm still at home, I'm sure I'll be the one getting up with her.

My hospital bag is almost fully packed so beyond the things I have on my to-do list, we're just about ready for Audrey. Now the real question.. is she ready for us?

Ah! You are in the most exciting part of pregnancy! Isn't it crazy to think that in a few short weeks (or days!?) your little girl will be here. I can't wait to hear more about the adventure.

What? Not enjoying the frequent trips to the bathroom...knowing that you JUST got into a comfortable position on the couch and that it will take you FIVE minutes to ease yourself to the edge so you can HEAVE yourself up and try to waddle quickly for just a teeny little drop? Yeah...me neither, by this time I was PRAYING for an early arrival. No such luck...1st TEN days past, 2nd right on time but breach, 3rd...oh the WORST because he was soooo heavy to carry but right on time! :) But Kristin is right, this is the most exciting time...enjoy the anticipation of "when"! :) You will be a great momma! Heck, you already are! :D
